Orders & production

What is automatic routing?

Your routing settings let you choose how Airventory assigns orders and handles split fulfillment or branding fallback. You can balance fulfillment flexibility with the product setup you want your customers to receive.

Where do I find the routing settings?

Open Settings → My Accounts and find Order routing. Choose your routing preference and review Allow split orders and Apply available branding, then click Save Changes. These settings let you decide how much flexibility Airventory has when assigning orders to factories.

Automatic routing, manual selection, split orders and fallback branding

How do automatic routing and manual selection differ?

Automatic routing picks the cheapest factory that can fulfill the order, weighted toward the location nearest your customer for faster delivery. Manual selection uses your chosen factory. Both locations use the same machines and quality standards.

What does Allow split orders do?

Enable Allow split orders to let Airventory use more than one factory when that is the most efficient way to fulfill a multi-item order. Keep it off if you want the order handled together.

What does Apply available branding do?

Enable Apply available branding to let routing use your default printed neck label when the faster or nearer factory cannot apply your woven label. Leave it off to prioritize woven branding. Set up your printed fallback first. How do I create a printed neck label?

Does routing pay for an order?

Routing chooses the fulfillment location. Approval and payment are handled separately. How do I pay for Airventory orders?

What happens after the order is routed?

Once approved and paid, the order moves through production, quality control, packing and dispatch at the selected location. How long do production and dispatch take?
