Artwork & printing
What is the difference between DTG and DTF?
DTG reproduces your garment artwork in fine detail, with prints up to 60 × 60 cm. DTF gives your neck branding a crisp printed finish, with the garment size added automatically.
What is DTG printing?
DTG stands for direct-to-garment printing. Ink is printed directly onto the fabric to reproduce fine detail, gradients, photographs and multicolor designs. Airventory’s print area reaches 60 × 60 cm, with artwork scale and placement controlled in the canvas. What print areas and placements are available?
Where is DTF used?
We use DTF, or direct-to-film printing, for custom printed neck labels. The finish keeps your branding crisp inside the collar, with the correct garment size added automatically. Printed labels cost $2 per garment, with no batch minimum. How do I create a printed neck label?
What inks do you use?
Brother Innobella Textile water-based inks reproduce the detail and color in your artwork, and our DTG prints are tested colorfast beyond 50 washes. What materials, inks and care instructions apply?
How do I care for a print?
Follow the care instructions for the garment and keep the iron away from printed areas. Include the same guidance in your product listing so your customers know how to look after their clothing. You can find the garment’s information on its catalog page and check the care label on your sample.
